Carhenge located near Alliance, Nebraska, is a replica of England's Stonehenge. Instead of being built with large standing stones, like the original Stonehenge, Carhenge was formed from 39 vintage American automobiles, all covered with gray spray paint. Built by Jim Reinders, as a memorial to his father it was dedicated during the June 1987 summer solstice.
