Description
Standing at the top of the Ute Trail and taking in this amazing view, it is easy to imagine how awestruck the Ute Indians must have felt by the towering sandstone rock formations on the left. The distinctive white rock is known as Gray Rock or Cathedral Rock and the red rock is called Sleeping Giant. Located at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado, this incredible city park is right at the foot of Pike’s Peak offering truly one of a kind views. It was designated as a National Natural Landmark in 1971.
