The Bald Eagle eaglets have grown quite a bit since my visit a week ago and they put on quite a show.

Just like human children, they wanted to be right on top of each other even though the nest still seems plenty large for the two of them. I almost expected to hear one of them scream, “Mom, he touched me!”

I watched the larger one pick on the little one until he couldn’t stand it anymore. There was head butting to push the younger one out of the way and to force him to move along the edge of the nest. When the younger one tried to take a nap, the larger one stuck his talon up in his face and may have even poked him with it a few times. Finally after being prodded enough, the younger one decided to practice his flying which may have actually been a tactic to get back at the other eaglet since he was almost standing on him when he did it.
