Marie Laveau’s House of Voodoo on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau II born in 1827, she was the daughter of the first Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. She was known for her wild rituals in the swamps around New Orleans and was said to have drowned in Lake Pontchartrain while preforming one of her rituals.
The House of Voodoo opened in 1988 and is located in the house that Marie Laveau and her children lived and her ghost is said to haunt the place.
