Description
La Pharmacie Francaise is located on Chartres Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. Owned by Louis J. Dufilho, Jr., he was the first person to pass the licensing examination for pharmacists in the United States making his shop the first United States liscensed apothecary. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is now a museum.
