It is laundry day at Ma’s little house. An old washboard, tub and ringer are set just outside of the claim shanty while rags are drying on the line at the Ingalls Homestead in De Smet, South Dakota.
Ma had a strict weekly routine:
Wash on Monday
Iron on Tuesday
Mend on Wednesday
Churn on Thursday
Clean on Friday
Bake on Saturday
Rest on Sunday
