Description
Rush Creek Covered Bridge, constructed in 1904, was the first of three bridges built by William Hendricks. This single-span Burr Arch truss bridge spans 77 feet across Rush Creek and has extremely shallow portals.
Rush Creek Bridge is located just south of Tangier, Indiana. The village named after Tangier, Morocco, was platted in 1886. That same year, the post office opened, and it continued operating until 1994.
