Description
The grand interior of the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel.
Once known as Terminal Station, it was designed by Donn Barber and opened in 1909. This Beaux-Arts style station cost $1.5 million to build, and with its arched main entrance, 82-foot high ceiling with a domed skylight in the center, it was the grandest building in Chattanooga.
The Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and is on the National Register of Historic Places and a member of Historic Hotels of America.
