Artist's Description

This iconic orange 1969 Dodge Charger with the 01 on the side was one of The General Lees used in The Dukes of Hazzard television series.

Estimates vary greatly as to how many Chargers were used during the six years of the series; it ranges between 256 and 321. On average, at least two General Lees were totaled per episode. There are only 18 still known in existence. Warner Brothers kept one and sold off 17 to private owners.

Located in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee, this General is authentic. My husband couldn't resist checking out the hood for signs of scratches and dents from Luke's famous "hood slide." The marks were there.

My husband became a medical traveler, and I decided to put my career on hold to tag along. In the process, I found my roots again. What...
