Description

This Sandhill Crane just preformed a beautiful jump-rake. It is a shame that his partner is not paying attention.

A jump-rake is one move of many in the Sandhill Cranes mating dance. In this move the crane leaps in the air with wings spread while kicking out toward its dance partner. There is no body contact in dance.
