The Vanda Blue Magic Orchid is one of the most well-known of Vanda species. This exotic purple tropical flower was photographed at the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden on the Big Island of Hawaii.

The orchid genus is old, widespread and diverse. There are more than 25,000 documented species of orchid. Scientists are finding more every day and they suspect that there are even more species in the topical areas of the world. Although, Orchids grow naturally all over the world, horticulturalists have hybridized the flower to create new species that wouldn't occur in nature.
