At an elevation of 3950 feet, the Apple Orchard Mountain Overlook is the highest Blue Ridge Parkway elevation in Virginia. It is at milepost 76.5 on the Parkway.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is 469 miles long. It starts on the northern end at Shenandoah National Park in Virginia and ends in the south at Great Smoky Mountains National Park on the Cherokee, North Carolina side.

As the 8th photographer in 4 generations of my family, I don't remember a time when photography was not part of my life.
