Product Details

Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Artist's Description

Cat's Whiskers (Orthosiphon aristatus), is a member of the mint family. In the United States it is used as a fun ornamental tropical plant to add interest in the garden.

Throughout southern China, the Indian Subcontinent, South East Asia and tropical Queensland, it is know as Java tea, Kidney Tea Plant and Balbas Pusa. In these countries this plant is considered a medicinal herb. It helps in respiratory problems, high blood pressure, treats short breath and nerve related problems, anti-fungal, diuretic action, heals bladder problems, kidney disorders, acts as a detox, regulates blood sugar, weight loss, treats gum problems, anti-bacterial, treats skin disorders, and heals gout.

The scientific name ‘orthosiphon’ refers to the upright tube shape of the flower and ‘aristatus’ means ‘with ears’.

I went to college for interior design. After I graduated, I had a long successful career as an art buyer and designer for a large home furnishings company. In 2006, I had a significant life change.
