Artist's Description
This is the baby of the two Bald Eagle eaglets that I have been following. He has now fledged from the nest but is still not comfortable flying or landing.
In this image, he has branched out and is sitting on the big limb next to the nest where mom normally perches. The older eaglet and dad are across the river, calling to him in an attempt to get him to fly across. He is not happy and refusing to fly as he shoots dirty looks across the river.
This was a day with lots of whining and crying but no action. I still haven’t seen them fly.
