Artist's Description

Returning to the roost and the rest of the flock, these Sandhill Cranes with wings spread and legs extended float in for a landing on the Platte River after a short sunrise flight.

I photographed these majestic birds during their annual Spring migration through central Nebraska.

As the 8th photographer in 4 generations of my family, I don't remember a time when photography was not part of my life. I went to college for interior design. After I graduated, I had a long successful career as an art buyer and designer for a large home furnishings company. In 2006, I had a significant life change.
