Musket Stand metal print by Susan Rissi Tregoning.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description

Muskets stand ready for battle during a Civil War encampment reenactment at Bowens Mills in Yankee Springs, Michigan.

This was a common way for soldiers to place their rifles during the Civil War. It allowed them to be grabbed quickly and kept them drier and cleaner than laying them on the ground.

I'm a travel photographer that enjoys photographing United States architecture, nature, and transportation. As the 8th photographer in 4 generations of my family, I don't remember a time when photography was not part of my life. By the time I was five years old, I was standing on a stool in the darkroom, helping my dad develop pictures. It was my job to transfer the photos from the hypo to the water bath. I went to college for interior design. After I graduated, I had a long successful career as an art buyer and designer for a large home furnishings company. In 2006, I had a significant life change.
