Grandview Overlook on a beautiful autumn day in West Virginia.
At 1400 feet above the New River, this is the highest point in the New River Gorge. The spectacular horseshoe-shaped bend is at the heart of the gorge. On a clear day, as seen in this image, it provides a view of seven miles of the New River.
Once known as Grandview State Park, this park is now part of the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve.
