Description
The Trostletown Covered Bridge, built in 1873, extends 104 feet over Stony Creek in Pennsylvania's Somerset County. This bridge, constructed using a triple-span King Post Truss design, has been modified with the addition of tension rods. Located in the Stoystown Lions Club Park, its maintenance and preservation has been the responsibility of the local Lions Club since 1965.
Trostletown Covered Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980; it is one of ten remaining covered bridges in Somerset County.
