Description
Do Least Terns play keep away? I’m not sure, but this adult tern refused to feed his chicks. He is running away, and they are chasing him.
Photographed on June 8, 2019, this image is from my second visit to the Least Tern Breeding Area on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The chicks are now ranging in age between 1 day and two weeks old.
